Thanks for the bug report. I can see from the screen recording what you are talking about. I'm not able to replicate the first problem - Dolphin having the navigation bar be in edit mode when started (on git-master). I have a couple of questions: 1. Can you describe a little more what you mean by "Press the V button on two tabs to change their appearance." Or maybe attach a screenshot? 2. Do you have any plugins for Dolphin installed (through Settings - Configure Dolphin - Context Menu)? Thanks! 1. I meant ✓ (check mark) button. 2. No. It is fresh kubuntu install, with no plugins. Thanks for that clarification. I'm going to keep this report focused on the first issue. Issue 1: When dolphin starts location bar is always in edit mode (text box). I can't replicate this on Kubuntu or git-master Can you create a new user and see if it happens with that user? When you reply, feel free to change the status of this report to REPORTED. Thanks. Issue 2: Only the current folder name being shown after pressing ESC I also see this behavior on git-master. It seems to be intentional. If you would like to suggest a change to this behavior. please open a new feature request for this. Issue 3: Switching between Dolphin tabs, only the last folder name is shown in the location bar This is probably tied to #2. If you open a feature request for that, feel free to mention this as well. 🐛🧹 ⚠️ This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days. Created attachment 175132 [details] bug demonstration. SUMMARY Probably what I report will be a few bugs. ESL here, sorry if I explain unclear. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. When dolphin starts location bar is always in edit mode (text box). You must click the V button to make it appear as normal (row of buttons). 1. Open dolphin. 2. Enter some folders, 3-5 levels deep (like `~/Downloads/some/folder`) 3. Press Esc. 4. Only the folder name will appear as button, not all folders. 1. Open dolphin. 2. Enter some folders, 3-5 levels deep (like `~/Downloads/some/folder`). 3. Press CTRL+T twice to open two more tabs. 4. Press the V button on two tabs to change their appearance. 5. Switch tabs with CTRL+TAB. 6. If the tab you live had location bar in edit mode and the next tab will have location bar in button mode only the last button with folder name will appear. If you switch one more tab to tab with location bar in button mode it will be normal. And if you switch back it will be normal too. The problem appears when you navigate from tab with location bar in edit mode. Sorry again if it is unclear, I'll attach video. OBSERVED RESULT Explained as last point in every case. EXPECTED RESULT Dolphin should appear with location bar in normal (not edit) mode, or it should be configurable via settings. Location bar should be in the same mode (normal or edit) for all tabs (probably) or it should be configurable via settings. Location bar should show all folders after pressing Esc or after switching tab, not only the last one (current one?).
