Keyboard overlapping with the gesture bar

SUMMARY
KDE Connect's custom keyboard overlaps the gesture bar in Android 15, due to not supporting the edge-to-edge display.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable gesture based navigation in Android if not enabled (Settings > System > Gestures > Navigation mode).
2. Enable KDE Connect Remote Keyboard if not enabled (Settings > System > Keyboard > On-screen keyboard).
3. Switch default keyboard to KDE Connect keyboard.

OBSERVED RESULT
The keyboard overlaps the gesture bar at the bottom.

EXPECTED RESULT
The keyboard should be present above the gesture bar.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Android version : 15
KDE Connect version : 1.32.7 (installed from F-Droid)

Related: same issue on the multimedia controls screen.
The volume bar at the bottom is behind the gesture bar / navigation buttons so can't be used.
The back button at the top can't be used as it's behind the status bar

If it's at all possible when correcting the layout bug, could the UI be updated so it doesn't look like Android Froyo?
