SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. click  tools
2. click maintenance 
3. digikam stops responding 

OBSERVED RESULT
stops responding and crashes

EXPECTED RESULT

Windows: 11    digikam 8.4.0

(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)

Also can you reproduce the dysfunction using the current 8.5.0 pre-release available here :

I am not sure what you mean exactly? but I access the tools menu from the top panel and then click the maintenance option, the maintenance configuration window never appears.

Same issue occurs, unfortunately.

Please share the "digikamrc" configuration file located to your user directory under Windows:

Backup the digikamrc file to a copy as digikamrc.old

Edit the digikamrc file in your preferred text editor and remove all the contents of the [MaintenanceDlg Settings]

Save file and try to restart digiKam and Mantenance Tool.
