In SystemSettings under "Color & Themes" then "Icons". you can select "Get New" and then go to the drop down and select "Updateable" There it should show if you have any icons that can be updated if they have changes. When you have an icon set that does have an update it will show and you have the option to select "Update" This worked before the big Plasma release. when you select "Update" it will just sit and do nothing.
