Can you also attach a screenshot that shows the ordering preferences for the "vnd.ms-excel" entry shown in your first screenshot? Also, please run `file --mime-type <path to the Excel file, or drag it to the terminal window>` in a terminal window, and paste the output here. You should ask for kmimetypefinder (QMimeType/shared-mime-info based) rather than `file --mimetype`, which uses its own database. Created attachment 176213 [details]

If you can't reproduce the issue anymore, then given the settings all look correct, unfortunately it's likely we won't be able to figure out what happened here. I think what happened was the upgrade from Kubuntu 24.04 to 24.10, so maybe I had better filed it with Ubuntu developers. Thanks for your replies. |

Watch Calligra open the file instead of the specified LibreOffice Calc OBSERVED RESULT File opens in Calligra.
