SUMMARY
After upgrading to Plasma 6.2 sliding popups aren't animated


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable effect animate sliding popups
2. When you click item in systray compact representation is animated 
3. When you hover item in task manager or in systray, popup appears, moving cursor to other item should animate the sliding popup to new hover item

OBSERVED RESULT
Hovering item in systray or task manager popup appears, moving cursor to new item doesn't animate popup moving


EXPECTED RESULT
Hovering and moving popup should animate the transition

It used to, but this proved to be too buggy and was removed, sorry.

I'm using it since 2009 with no issues. Can you give me link to removed effect, also tooltips not animated in Kate, Falkon, which is worked for years on Intel and AMD.
