SUMMARY
In KDE 5 and KDE <=6.1, Plasma panels had drop shadows. In KDE 6.0 - 6.1, floating panels had drop shadows as well.

After upgrading to KDE 6.2, Plasma panels don't have drop shadows anymore. 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install KDE 6.2
2. Add a floating Plasma panel 

OBSERVED RESULT
Floating panels don't have drop shadows.

EXPECTED RESULT
Drop shadows should persist between KDE versions.

Cannot reproduce. Can you also get it to happen in a new clean user account with no customization?
