After updating to Plasma 6.2 Stable. I can confirm that this issue persists. Curious. I cannot reproduce the issue when I follow what you're doing in your screen recording exactly. I'm also not able to reproduce this on git-master In a Fedora Kinoite 41.20241010.n.0 VM, I can confirm this issue persists but with slightly different behavior. The small empty background can be deleted but the ghost of the Analogue Clock remains. SUMMARY Changing Analogue Clock widget to Binary Clock via Show Alternatives, and then switching back results in the background remaining and in a buggy state. This remaining background can't be removed through conventional means and can only be done by logging-out or rebooting. A 'ghost' of the analogue clock still remains as well but that can be removed. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add Analogue Clock Widget 2. Right-click > Show Alternatives > Binary Clock 3. Right-click > Show Alternatives > Analogue Clock 4. [Optional] Try removing the Analogue Clock Widget, moving around the remaining background and trying to delete it. OBSERVED RESULT This remaining background of the Binary Clock can't be removed through conventional means. A 'ghost' of the Analogue Clock still remains as well but that can be removed. EXPECTED RESULT No remaining background, and not 'ghost' of Analogue Clock SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora Kinoite 41.20241007.n.0 [Fedora Kinoite 41 Beta] KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.6.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Further testing has shown that when there are two buggy backgrounds present, a small analogue clock is created. Particularly amusing, but still another headache. At least it can be removed through conventional means.
