Description Nate Graham 2024-10-02 16:02:56 UTC
Current git master everything built on top of Fedora KDE 40. Qt 6.7.2, Kernel 6.10.11.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have a laptop plugged into a DisplayPort monitor. In my case it's this one: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1718042-REG/hp_4q8n9aa_aba_24_qhd_90hz_hdr400.html, and the laptop gets power from the DisplayPort cable going to the monitor.
2. With the laptop's lid open and an active session, click Kickoff > Sleep

OBSERVED RESULT
Laptop goes to sleep and screen turns black, then in a second or two, the laptop wakes up and displays the lock screen. The external monitor turns back on, too.

EXPECTED RESULT
Both the laptop and external monitor remain asleep until woken up.
