Description johnelliottmartin 2002-10-19 01:46:07 UTC
Version: 4.0 (using KDE 3.0.8 (KDE 3.1 beta2))
Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker
Compiler: gcc version 3.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.0 3.2-1mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.19-16mdk

whenever I load a jpeg image, the processor usage hits the roof and the whole system becomes unresponsive until the image is done downloading.

Could the image be downloaded first, and then displayed so the slowdown would only happen while displaying the image instead of while downloading it as well?
