SUMMARY
After updating to Plasma 6.2 Beta, the display layout switch does not work anymore. Using the keyboard shortcut (Fn + F7 in my case) or using the Display Configuration applet to change from one mode to another does nothing. In particular, "switch to external screen" or "switch to laptop screen" is totally broken and the system seems to stay always in "extend to right".

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect laptop to external screen
2. Try to switch to external screen
3. Try to switch to unify outputs
4. Try any other mode

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens

EXPECTED RESULT
Change mode correctly as in previous Plasma versions

I think this was a side-effect of Bug 493618. I can't reproduce anymore. I close this since no one confirmed.
