Not sure if the following will be useful: I attached the coredump (copied from the crashed process viewer) and the output when I clicked run the interactive debugger

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Press print screen or launch from Application Menu

OBSERVED RESULT

Receive error message:
Launching Spectacle (Failed)
Remote peer disconnected

EXPECTED RESULT
Spectacle opens

Thank you for the bug report!

This looks a lot like the issue in bug 481977, which was a nvidia driver issue (or more specifically, with the libva-vdpau-driver in arch-based systems) which should have been fixed a while ago. What nvidia driver are you using? Can you try removing that package? (See also the linked bug report for more information)

I uninstalled libva-vdpau-driver and Spectacle now works as intended. Thanks.
