Description tguen 2024-09-22 22:51:28 UTC
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. go to configure > settings > text navigation and uncheck "enable camel case cursor movement"
2. paste a url in the editor, then use ctrl + left/right to jump over a "word"

OBSERVED RESULT
Cursor jumps over entire url, only stopping at the next white space

EXPECTED RESULT
Cursor jumps over letters and stops at punctuation characters, i.e. jumps from the start of a url over "https" and stops before ":"

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Arch Linux
KDE Plasma 6.1.4
KDE Frameworks 6.5.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2

can not reproduce.
Comment 2 Christoph Cullmann 2024-09-25 16:09:50 UTC
Works for me, too, with KF 6.6 and 24.08, but there were no fixes for this, strange.
Can you give a concrete example?

e.g. for

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=493509

it jumps like it should.
