*** Bug 498429 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 499424 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I'm able to reproduce this in git-master as well as Plasma 6.2.5 with MS Core Fonts (which has a second problem) and some others but not all fonts - Additionally, none of the previews are shown on the font detail pages - No font shows any comments / reviews in the details - I can't seem to install any font from this dialog Testing with MS Core Fonts (same behavior from any font by SeanParsons) I don't see the half-transparent black square, but I see the error "This item is currently in an invalid or unknown state" That disappears but then I see " An Error Occurred Cannot install 'MS True Type core fonts' because it points to a web page. Created attachment 173760 [details] An image of the System Settings window with a half-transparent black square over it SUMMARY A popup appears when trying to install new fonts that says "This item is currently in an invalid or unknown state". A transparent black window also appears in the upper left corner (see attachment) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Font Management App 2. Click Get New Fonts button 3. Open any font page 4. Click the Install button OBSERVED RESULT The error mentioned in the SUMMARY section appears. After a few seconds everything except the half-transparent square goes back to normal and you could try installing the font again with no success. EXPECTED RESULT The font package installs correctly.
