SUMMARY
I have a clip as a video + audio tracks V1 + A1 which can be easily monitored. I want to record a secondary audio track to "comment" the main clip.  

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. load a clip on V1+A1 tracksp ,  monitor it with project
2. there are  A2 +V2 tracks open A2 select "show recording controls"  red circle appears
3.click red circle 3 1 2 appears then stops    recording level shows ... start monitoring A1V1  and speak to microphone

OBSERVED RESULT
No recording on A2    

EXPECTED RESULT some signal on A2

Please make sure the microphone is detected by Kdenlive. Maybe a restart of Kdenlive is needed.
