I installed the option to send encrypted files with Outlook on May 24th, 2024. Now, for some emails that I want to send, a window with pinentry-qt pops up completely uncontrollably. I've tried several passwords, but it doesn't work. How can I remove the system from my laptop?
Would uninstall help or make it more difficoult to remove the encrypting?

Kind regards and thanks in advance.

The pinentry-qt window pops up when you (try to) send a digitally signed message. It expects the password that you entered when you created the certificate to use for digital signatures and for receiving encrypted messages in May.

I'm not sure how you installed the option to send encrypted files with Outlook. In any case, uninstalling it should fix your problem.
