If you're not sure this is actually a bug, instead post about it at https://discuss.kde.org
SUMMARY
If I put the default pannel vertically, the preview of applications are only partially erased when I stop hovering on the application icon.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. install Fedora 40 or Nobara 40 on virtual box VM from a windows 10 host
2. set virtual box graphic controller at VMSVGA on virtual box
3. enable 3D acceleration on virtual box
4. launch linux and reach the destop
5. align vertically the default pannel
6. open any application (not sure if mandatory)
7. hover over some applications that are not opened at a rate of around 2 per seconds

OBSERVED RESULT
1 times out of 4, the preview of applications are only partially erased when I stop hovering on the application icon

EXPECTED RESULT
A preview with application name should be displayed when I hover over the icon then fully diseapear when I mouve the mouse away

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 10 as a virtual box host
(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 40 or Nobara 40 (I reproduced the bug on both distro)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.5.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2t

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I think you can reproduce the bug by only steps 5 then 7.
I can't send a screenshot because pressing the screenshot key refresh the display and remove the artifact.
I am using a temporary email adress since this is my first bug report on KDE (I did send bug report on Firefox before though)

I can't reproduce this in git master. Can you attach a screen recording that shows it happening?
