SUMMARY
Can reproduce on both Arch Linux and neon unstable when using X11 session. Cannot reproduce on Wayland.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. use X11 session
2. lock the screen by pressing meta+L
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
the system gets stuck at black screen with mouse pointer and I'm unable to unlock the screen

EXPECTED RESULT
the observed result should not occur

Does it stop happening if you change the Plasma theme to something different? If so, this is Bug 483163.
