SUMMARY
I upgraded to plasma-meta-6.1.4 yesterday and ever since yesterday the motions of the graphics in my Wayland session are extremely choppy.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install plasma 6.1.4 on Gentoo with a amdgpu based graphics card (7900 XTX in my case)
2. Click on any icon in taskbar and the menu will appear in 2 - 3 steps or click on the KDE menu button.
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
An extremely choppy menu appearing

EXPECTED RESULT
A fluent motion menu (as in plasma 5.27.11).

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)
Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.6.47 / 6.1.4
DE Plasma Version: 6.1.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.5.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I've tried steam and playing multiple games and they all work fine. It really seems to be plasma related. I've checked the reports of glxinfo and vulkaninfo and they report everything as fine.

I've also tried disabling triple_dynamic_buffering but this does not resolve the issue. When setting Adaptive Sync to Automatic it improves the situation, but does not resolve the issue.

So the issue remains if you set KWIN_DRM_DISABLE_TRIPLE_BUFFERING=1 in /etc/environment and reboot?

You're correct. The issue remains the same. I've tried setting this variable in various locations and didn't help. The only thing that reduced it (but did not eliminate it) was setting Adaptive Sync from Always to Automatic.

I *think* this is the same as bug 493940 and fixed since Plasma 6.2. If you're still experiencing this, feel free to reopen
