SUMMARY
When using the effect, it produces an annoying black frame at the start of whatever it is applied to.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use Vertigo on any image or video.
2. Thats it. Thats all it takes.

OBSERVED RESULT
When first applied, the video or image looks a bit darker. When exported, it shows a black frame for a split second when the video reaches the section with the image or video, that has the vertigo effect applied to it.

EXPECTED RESULT
No black frame at the start.

It says 24.11.70. And this has been a constant problem even before this version.

Ah, ok. This is one of the nightly builds. Can you test it with the latest version 24.08? I can confirm this for 24.08 (flatpak) on Linux.
Comment 4 Bernd 2024-09-06 14:40:48 UTC
Adding the Vertigo effect immediately makes the video in the project monitor darker. Changing the preferred composition in Settings does not affect this behavior at all.

Checked with 24.08.01, issue still persists.
