SUMMARY
After upgrading from 8.3.0 to 8.4.0, I'm presented with a blank white window. Clicking in the window produces results, as though I'd clicked on an image thumbnail, so the app isn't frozen or dead - it's just not updating the window for some reason. Downgrading to 8.3.0 solves the problem.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. On a PC with 8.3.0 installed, upgrade to 8.4.0
2. Start the app

OBSERVED RESULT
Blank white window

EXPECTED RESULT
Standard window with image thumbnails

Windows: 11
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.248.0
Qt Version: 6.6.1

Your KDE Frameworks version: 5.248.0 and Qt version: 6.6.1 don't actually match, we'll ignore this for now. The cause is unsupported OpenGL hardware.
First try using the pre-release digiKam-8.5.0 from here:

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

Just downloaded digiKam-8.5.0-20240901T140021-Qt6-Win64.exe, works fine. Thanks for your help, an apologies for how long it took me to get around to this.
