SUMMARY

After updating Spectacle from 24.02.2 to 24.08.0, it now ignores the filename template specified in Settings->Image Savings. No matter what you specify, it always names the file like Screenshot_20240826_180620. Prior to the update it worked properly.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: KDE neon 6.0
KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.5.0
Qt Version: 6.7.2
Comment 1 spiesant 2024-08-27 01:12:31 UTC
Addendum: rolling back via `sudo apt-get install kde-spectacle=24.02.2-0xneon+22.04+jammy+release+build32` makes it work properly again.

I am unable to reproduce this. Can you post the filename template that you are using? The default one is something like `Screenshot_<yyyy><MM><dd>_<HH><mm><ss>`.
Comment 3 spiesant 2024-09-10 14:14:59 UTC
I'm using `<yyyy>-<MM>-<dd>_<hh>.<mm>.<ss>`

> The default one is something like `Screenshot_<yyyy><MM><dd>_<HH><mm><ss>`.

Right, exactly - even when I enter mine in settings, it still produces files with the default

Are you using Save As? I recently fixed a similar bug that only occurred when using Save As.

Yes, Save As.

Still persists in 24.08.1.

Sorry, I forgot that I hadn't clicked the merge button yet, but it wouldn't be in 24.08.1 even if I had.
