This is likely a duplicate of 485596. Please confirm that crash is gone in 0.8.1 or latest git version. Hi: When I made the report, the log file was left on the screen for a long time loading, so I assumed that the system might also be affected in some way. I'm new to this and decided to continue doing my tests. I converted the video to another codec and container and the audio was also converted to 2 channels. I retested with this video and audio source and the software also crashed in the same place. Then I thought that maybe the problem could be some character in the .srt file. I finished the project with another software under windows as a last resort since I needed to finish the job (exported as UTF 8) Currently I no longer have the same .srt file since I modified it with that other software. Maybe I can download the file again to do new tests since I have kept the video and audio files unchanged (only multiplexed to add chapters and subtitles with MKVToolnix) Anyway, thank you for attending to my report and taking the time to review it. Since you mentioned that "It always happens at the same point" - I'm pretty confident that this bug happens even without loaded subtitle (as it's likely audio related) If you can manage to repeat the crash with your current version, and then confirm it works for you with latest git development version from here: https://subtitlecomposer.kde.org/download.html we can confirm/close it :) Hello: I downloaded Appimage version 0.8.1 and loaded the video (Xvid with 6-channel AC3 Dolby Digital audio track) into it. In addition I got the subtitle file .srt again. No blocking now. Everything seems to work fine. I noticed that I had Ubuntu version 0.8.0 -1build 6, so I also upgraded to Flathub version 0.8.1 With this version, there was no crashing either, so for me this problem seems to be fixed.
