Description foxtwiggeh 2024-08-08 21:36:37 UTC
Created attachment 172415 [details]
recording of me trying to desperately drag more than one "slot"

SUMMARY
When moving keyframes they get dropped into the first possible "slot", while left click is still pressed, making movements of more than 1 frame very difficult / impossible. The best way I can describe it is that they get dropped on "mousemove" instead of "pointerup"

EXPECTED RESULT
Moving a frame / selected frames on "pointerup"

Hi foxtwiggeh, sorry to hear you're having problems with the animation timeline.

1. I see you're on hyprland. Krita doesn't have the greatest wayland support and so, right now at least, x11 is preferred. I'm not sure if this is the reason for the issue, but it could be. If you'd like to do some testing under Nixos and a x11 session of some kind it might help us figure out if this is a wayland-specific issue or not. Wayland support isn't the biggest priority of the team right now, as I believe the current plan to move to Qt6 is something that needs to happen first. That's probably not the best news for you as a hyprland user, but please bear with us.

2. Alternatively, can you test to see if this problem exists on the official Krita appimage? This could be a problem specific to how Krita is configured on Nixos, and testing to see if the appimage works could help us figure that out.

Thanks.
