This was supposed to be fixed with Bug 487815 for Plasma 6.1 Can you describe the settings of your panel? Thickness, alignment, settings, other contents on it, etc. Attached is a screenshot of my current Panel settings, which are not the defaults. I also tried a new user without my manually added widgets and I can reproduce the issue. I updated to 6.1.4. and it solved the issue. It doesn't freeze anymore but shows some kind of triangle/play button instead instead of the widget graph. Created attachment 172404 [details]
