gpodder.net sync, after adding login and password still says "synchronization disabled" [something like that, it's a translation]

Can't synchronize manually either

The login information is saved, if I try to change it

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Open settings
2.  Synchronization
3.  Try to log in to gpodder.net
4. it still says that synchronization is disabled

EXPECTED RESULT
gpodder.net sync should work

Indeed a duplicate of 486819.

Or, at least, the issue mentioned in that report will also apply to gpodder.net, making it impossible to log in.
Not saying that there aren't any additional issues with gpodder.net, which has been completely unreliable in the last year or so.  :-/
