STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. right-click on the Panel and choose "Show panel configuration"
2. hover over any widget with "Show alternatives" option, like Kickoff, Pager or task manager; click on "Show alternatives...", but do not click on any alternative
3. leave edit mode by clicking on "Exit edit mode" or "Done" buttons

OBSERVED RESULT
"Show alternative" menu remains open, it only closes after restarting Plasma.

EXPECTED RESULT
"Show alternative" menu should close when leaving the edit mode

This was supposed to be fixed in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487161 but I can also still trigger it in some circumstances on git master.

It works correctly if you open the "Show Alternatives" popup on a different panel, but opening the show alternatives for the panel you're on can leave it stuck open until you manually refocus the popup.

I can also still reproduce the issue. Let's re-open that bug report.
