ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
switching to: digiKam-8.4.0-Qt5-x86-64.appimage: it works. It downloads then rest works properly.

Tested today with the pre-release version of digiKam-8.5.0, file download works. If a download does not work permanently, we need the displayed mirror server name. We will then report it to the KDE admin. At the request of the KDE admin, we no longer use "fixed" download servers.
