SUMMARY

When closing kdenlive, the window closes, but the process is still holding locks on the files in the project bin. Looking at task manager, kdenlive.exe is still running.

This looks like a duplicate of 393836, which was for 17.12.0.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open kdenlive
2. close kdenlive (use ctrl+q or the x)
3. see process still exists in the process tree.

Or more specific to my summary
1. open kdenlive
2. add video to project bin and timeline
3. close kdenlive
4. delete added video
5. see error message "The action can't be completed because the file is open in kdenlive.exe Close the file and try again."

OBSERVED RESULT
kdenlive.exe is still in the task manage details screen, and the files added to the project bin cannot be deleted.

EXPECTED RESULT
kdenlive.exe is closed when the user clicks the x, or crtl+q,

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:  10.0.19045 Build 19045

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I think this workstation had 22.x installed, and kdenlive has been upgraded a few times from that version, using the installer located at https://kdenlive.org/en/download/.

Please delete the kdenlive folder c:\program files\kdenlive. Then install Kdenlive again.

Does the Kdenlive process still running after program close?

I had been updating kdenlive as updates have been released. I am now on kdenlive-24.08.1, and not experiencing this issue. kdenlive is not seen in Task Manager, and neither is dbus. I think it was dbus that was also launched with kdenlive, and not closing at the time of the initial report.

OS has been updated to Version 10.0.22631 Build 22631
