Sentry Crash Report:

Description Keith Hoard 2024-07-01 02:52:51 UTC
While running kstars/ekos I've accidentally closed the app windows while trying to close other windows such as "Build Offsets" process, ect. I've also accidentally closed ekos in the middle of an imaging session . . . . ugh. I know that scheduler will restart where it left off, but I would like to know if there is a way to prevent having to go there in the first place.

SUMMARY

I'd like to see a command line option such as "--no-x" or something similar that would disable the X button in both kstars and ekos app windows. That way I would have to specifically close the programs via File -> Quit option.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Wait 3 weeks for a clear night
2. Get in the middle of a very successful imaging run
3. Accidentally click the X button

OBSERVED RESULT

Begin cursing.

EXPECTED RESULT

Make it more difficult to close ekos while it is in the middle of an imaging run. Ultimately, I'd like to see ekos have it's own daemon that would keep working even through crashes, but I think this may be an easier first step.
