Update: I can still reproduce it in the latest Neon Testing as of January 2025. I can still reproduce it too in the latest Neon Testing as of February 2025. In my case I noticed this: It tries to do something, probably logout. But it just turns the screen black with the mouse cursor still visible. And it freezes as not even the mouse cursor can be moved. CTRL+ALT+F1-F12 doesn't give you the virtual terminal, but one of them brings you to the lock screen. Where just pressing enter is not accepted as a password, neither typing "neon" or "user". I expected that it would not freeze the whole session. Or didn't try to switch user when there's a single user, in this case the "neon" user. Or the Switch User button to be disabled (grayed out) or hidden. With a single user it's pointless to try to switch user. Also, it would be very nice if it would not mess with the CTRL+ALT+F1-F12 keys as if they don't solve the problem, like bringing the session back, with a login that works, at least they should open a virtual terminal how they're supposed to. I discovered the problem by trying to click on Logout and my hand slipping a bit below before clicking. |
