Description Kishore Gopalakrishnan 2024-06-29 16:38:37 UTC
SUMMARY
When you create a Custom shortcut using the 'script or command' option, the name of the item is just shown as the entire command. It would be better to allow the user to select a more descriptive name.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. System Settings > Keyboard > Shortcuts
2. Click on the 'add new shortcut' button > 'script or command'
3. Enter any command (e.g. `qdbus org.kde.krunner /App displaySingleRunner krunner_appmenu`)
4. Click OK

OBSERVED RESULT
Name of the shortcut item in the sidebar is shown as just whatever command the user entered

EXPECTED RESULT
Allow the user to specify a human-friendly name for the command. E.g., instead of `qdbus org.kde.krunner /App displaySingleRunner krunner_appmenu`, I would like to be able to display the name of the shortcut as `krunner-appmenu`
