Multi-column layout like Mastodon Web when using wide window

I would like to see a two or three column layout when expanding the window. Mastodon Web’s 'deck' layout is such a joy to use: You still see your timeline when opening a toot or thread. You can read into profiles and instantly see your notifications, all without losing the visual context of your timeline.
Take a look at Ivory for macOS, they have done the layout similar: https://tapbots.com/ivory/mac/

This seems reasonable

Yup, I've been wanting to do this for a while and should be possible within Kirigami. I just need to find the time + drive to do it :D
