This seems reasonable Hi!
I'm trying to run this on nixos and having a problem with consolekit:
Failed to open CK session: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit was not provided by any .service files
As far as I understand, consolekit is no longer used in plasma? Where do I start to troubleshoot this, is there a build flag for changing this? I'm quite new to this.
(In reply to shatz.dan from comment #2) > Hi! > > I'm trying to run this on nixos and having a problem with consolekit: This report is for a feature request for LightDM. Your support request for using (I assume) LightDM on NixOS is a separate issue, and doesn't appear to be a bug with KDE software. If you're looking for help installing LightDM on NixOS, your best bet is to look into support avenues for NixOS You can find them here: https://nixos.wiki/wiki/Support Thanks for understanding. |
Created attachment 171014 [details] Screen capture of a LightDM theme in action Since lightdm-kde-greeter uses Qt to draw the greeter, wouldn't it be more suitable and fitting to match the design of current lock screen? I've ported QML files from lock screen with additions from "theme-userbar" and it looks and works fine. There are some bugs/design flaws that I've not fixed yet, but they are not unresolvable. So, here a some questions: - would there be any problems with using almost the same QML code from different part of KDE Project? (like non-matching licences) - is there need for such theme? I've attached short video of this theme to show how it looks in action.
