SUMMARY

Temperature Monitor panel stopped working after upgrading to Plasma 6.1

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Upgrade Fedora 40 system to KDE Plasma 6.1.
Observe that the Temperature Monitor panel is not functioning.
Remove the Temperature Monitor panel and re-add it.
OBSERVED RESULT

The Temperature Monitor panel does not display any text or information after being re-added.

EXPECTED RESULT

The Temperature Monitor panel should display temperature readings as it did before the upgrade.

All system updates have been applied. The issue persists despite the panel being removed and re-added.

This isn't a bug in the system monitor widgets directly, they're just the ones to most notably show it. It will be fixed with https://invent.kde.org/plasma/libplasma/-/merge_requests/1149
