Is it possible to add support for cr3 Canon raw thumbnails by default?

I've already add image/x-canon-cr3 and update exiv2,LibRaw so at this moment i get thumbnails of my cr3 raw files but all of them are wrong with white balance and having odd frame. It's seems it affect only newer cr3 format. The first version used by Canon R are fine but for example from R5 are wrong. Gwenview cannot display cr3 files at all. cr3 format is from 2018 so seems right time to integrate with kde system like dolphin and Gwenview and should by default without any set up like cr2 format.

also i've found that LibRaw causing problem i've compiled news version and it not help. I've contact with devs and they say the applications like thumbnailer used by dolphin  should use auto white balance option to correct view R5+ files.

Of cause this can be some bug only on my side then please help me what i have wrong.

after neon rebased to 24.04 Gwenview works with cr3 just fine but dolphin still not. no thumbs at all, not even wrong contarst

Yeah so far no luck. Sometimes i've generate thumbs with Gwenview to speed up my workflow which is ridiculous. Dolphin is part of KDE, so the format used for so many people for years and absent in KDE as general is a very bad experience and should be available by default.

Hi, any news on this? I also found it frustrating to not have cr3 thumbnails after getting new camera.

Still absolutely nothing. BTW i can provide raw files to tests etc.

Good idea, I uploaded two appropritate files; one cRAW and one RAW (CR3) to catbox (seemed like a good place for large files). If any devs wants to help out :)
