SUMMARY
Kactivitymanagerd spikes to 100% CPU when I open a file

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. run 'top' in a terminal
2. open dolphin then open a file
3. observe the CPU occupation in the terminal

OBSERVED RESULT
kactivitymanagerd spikes to 45 then 100 then 70% CPU for 2-3 seconds

EXPECTED RESULT
kactivitymanagerd should consume fewer CPU

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I tried to disable and reset the "recent file" from kcm but this doesn't help. I have no activities other than the default one.

Su suggerimento di un utente su Reddit ho cancellato i file recently-used.xbel and RecentDocuments (both in ~/.local/share/). Questo ha risolto il problema.

Sorry, in English: At the suggestion of a user on Reddit, I deleted the files "recently-used.xbel" and "RecentDocuments" (both in ~/.local/share/). This solved the problem.
