SUMMARY

When attempting to create a hotspot, it will only let my iphone or another device connect as long as it is unsecure with no password. When a password is set it will refuse any connections from any of my devices. 

The whole insecure wifi-hotspot thing is also very poorly designed as it should ask for a password instead of simply starting up an insecure wifi hotspot in the first place. WPA3-personal also is nonfunctional and simply fails to work entirely, giving an error after a while, if this did work I then I should be able to set it to default to this in the hotspot settings as well. This has been an issue on multiple systems of mine, including this recent one with brand new hardware. This issue has also existed for me across the two distros that I use KDE Plasma with, which is Fedora and Nobara.

 As someone who has to use my desktop as a hotspot constantly, this bug is making KDE downright almost unusable just with this bug, which has existed for as long as I have been using KDE Plasma.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a hotspot using the hotspot button which by default starts with no password (why would this be default???).
2. Notice that it works as intended an insecure hotspot.
3. Turn it off and modify the setting to make it start with a password, renable (I have to logout and log back in for it to update).
4. Notice that it will refuse all connections when your device fails to connect to it now.

This does look like a duplicate of bug 449265. Please follow that report for updates. Thanks.

With that said, this looks like it's been fixed in git-master and the fix should be available in 6.4.0
What I currently see when I create a hotspot on my laptop running git-master is that it's set to WPA/WPA2 Personal, with a password
