Screenshot of the bug

SUMMARY
After switching off and on of the displays the background not scaled correctly, but huge black borders are visible.
Before (plasma 5.27.11) the problem already existed, but the black border was actually currupted, in a way that everything that was drawn there from some window remained in that area across desktops.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use wayland with a fhd display @100% and a 4k display @150%.
2. Switch both displays off and on again.

OBSERVED RESULT
Background of the 4k screen has a huge black border on bottom and right. (See attached screenshot.)
Changing the background picture itself does not recover it. But changing between e.g. picture and folder background solves it for the moment.

EXPECTED RESULT
Background is displayed as before, correctly over the full screen area.

Hmm, I thought this was fixed in Plasma 6.1. :/
Comment 2 Markus 2024-06-29 14:38:48 UTC
Sorry, I was running 6.0.90 at that point.
Running 6.1.1 for a few days now.
Didnt happen again so far, so you seem to be right. ;)
