Description Pavel Urusov 2024-06-16 20:24:02 UTC
SUMMARY

In the Window Rules configuration, there is an option to permanently assign an app to a certain screen number, e.g. screen 0, screen 1 etc.

However, there is absolutely no indication anywhere in the settings what these numbers correspond to. I have no idea which one of my multiple monitors is considered screen 0, which is screen 1, etc.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to System Settings -> Display and Monitor
2. Observe that there is no indication of the screen number anywhere in the screen configuration module.

OBSERVED RESULT

The screen numbers are not shown anywhere on the Display configuration page, which means that the user can only guess which number corresponds to which screen.

EXPECTED RESULT

The Display configuration module shows numbers associated with each screen.

I think rather the design of the rules is suboptimal here
