SUMMARY - when default location for various file types are changed they are not being saved after the next cold boot. Going back to the defaults instead.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to locations - system settings - sessions - Locations
2. Change file locations from defaults
3. Applt changes

OBSERVED RESULT - new defaults locations expected


EXPECTED RESULT - system default locations continue

Linux/KDE Plasma: Garuda Linux BirdOfPrey Soaring x86_64 Linux 6.9.2-zen1-1-zen  KWin (X11)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - the new locations seem to hold if I log out and back in again, but not after a cold boot.

What method are you using to observe that the old locations are still used? Where specifically are you seeing this?
