SUMMARY
selecting the charge limit and verifying that cat /sys/bus/platform/drivers/ideapad_acpi/VPC2004:00/conservation_mode shows 1,  rebooting deselect the option, but the /sys/bus/platform/drivers/ideapad_acpi/VPC2004:00/conservation_mode is still 1 as it should

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. select the charge limit threshold
2. reboot
3. the value get deselected but the system are still in conservation mode

EXPECTED RESULT
the gui option show correctly the value of conservation_mode

now i don't know if it's an issue with the charge limit threshold or the System settings, because the same behavior(of deselecting the option) happen in the Login Screen (SDDM) tab :/

Marking as duplicate of Bug 488954, which was just fixed (for 6.1.1) by that bug's reporter himself. I'm pretty sure it's the same root cause, feel free to reopen if Plasma 6.1.1 does not fix the issue. Thanks!

If there's an issue with the SDDM tab, that would most likely be a different bug. Charge limits and SDDM don't share any of this code, and System Settings can't really be responsible as it sits on a different abstraction level for this kind of issue.
