I should also add that I do not know where the KDE log files I need to send ya'll are. If you let me know the file paths (best to give multiple), then I can send you a log file something else i would like to add. I have a KVM switch and do oftenly use it. Alright some new information. It doesn't seem like it has much to do with suspending. It looks like it has to do with the KVM switch. Whenever I plug in my kvm to another computer, it will automatically move all my inputs to the new computer. Then when I come back to my machine running KDE, it bugs out. So I now have more reliable reproduction steps. Sometimes when I switch my mouse / keyboard input from one computer to another computer via KVM switch, it will cause the desktop and task bar to no longer use mouse input Also experimented with unplugging and replugging my KVM switch on the linux computer. It has no affect (In reply to Shane Whitmire from comment #5) > Also experimented with unplugging and replugging my KVM switch on the linux > computer. It has no affect I wish you could edit comments. What I mean is I currently have the bug occuring right now, and when I unplug the USB from my linux computer and back into it, I still have the same issue of it not registering my mouse. Not even plugging my mouse directly into the desktop will fix the bug. only restarting KDE. This fixes it without having to restart everything: plasmashell --replace & Does it ever happen on Wayland too, or only on X11? Potentially related issue with konsole: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_Y_X7OU-tc (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #8) > Does it ever happen on Wayland too, or only on X11? Ok, so I'm not 100% sure yet as it feels "random" when it happens, but I've swapped my kvm to multiple machines back and forth and haven't been able to reproduce the issue. I'll stick with wayland for now if it is less buggy :). If I don't respond in a few days, or if I respond saying problem gone, then it's an x11 + kde issue :) Thanks, let's see! Almost forgot to drop a comment. Not only is this bug gone, but many more other smaller bugs are gone once I switched over to wayland. Good suggestion, thanks!
