This isn't going to be caused by the panel positioning; it'll be something else. Sorry, I just forgot. There was a lot of work those days. The problem was when restart after some configurations. It stopped when I unchecked the option to restore the session after restart. Really? That's an interesting data point. And if you turn it back on again, does the problem re-appear? I'm not tempting the gods. This is the only workstation I have, and I'm not able to take it as a minefield. If anyone with a plain-pristine-just-installed-from-zero OpenSUSE distro with zero to risk want to test, I'd be glad to check if it's the same use-case. But I'm not in the mood of risking all my work. Thanks for your time by the way. *** Bug 488015 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Teclado, have you been running with this setup since we last spoke? With Plasma 6.2.4 or later, is everything still okay with session restore turned off? (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #6) > Teclado, have you been running with this setup since we last spoke? So you accidentally moved back to the settings that caused the issue in the past, but now it's no longer happening? And what version of Plasma are you using now? (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #8) > So you accidentally moved back to the settings that caused the issue in the > past, but now it's no longer happening? > > And what version of Plasma are you using now? As a matter of fact, I didn't. I put the panel at other side of the screen and go along with it. My current version of Plasma is 6.2.4. Nevertheless, I have, in the dozens of retries I made, a hazy memory of having this same problem with the panel in other side, and not having it with the panel in that position, and can't remember how I came to a solution. I'm sorry if this has been confusing (I won't dare to try moving again the panel to this position), but I think there is a high probability that the link between the position of the panel and the black screen was a subtle coincidence and no more. All right, let's keep an eye on it in the future. :) |
