As I noticed, the Weather Plasmoid currently uses wetter.com as a source to get weather data from. It doesn't provide good location search and accurate data at least in my case. 

In Android I use Breezy app. It uses https://open-meteo.com/ and https://openweathermap.org/ which provide better results and more locations. I think that would be a better option.
