Please not the artifacts always appear at the very bottom though. The pixels shown could be an intersection of the jumping round icons that are visible during logging in when the window bar is still detached. I just witnessed some icons jumping like when they are placed right next to the mouse when waiting for an hanging application to start. They started to stick, when the window bar gets "maximized" to having no gap some seconds after logging in. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 482987 *** |
Created attachment 169714 [details] spectacle recording SUMMARY When using kde with an hidpi screen and scalingfactor set to 175% I can see flickering artifacts of the icons above. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. set scaling factor to 175% 2. log in again, line appears 3. move mouse to see flickering OBSERVED RESULT This happens even when watching videos in fullscreen. The artifacts seem to appear after opening some windows and closing them again. They disappear when changing the scaling factor but others reappear when setting it back to 175%. EXPECTED RESULT full screen windows should hide artifacts happening to other applications, which is why i assume there are some mis-calculation within the window-manager itself. Or even better artefacts should not appear :) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: asahi linux fedora40 aarch64 16k (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.2 Qt Version: 6.7.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Keep in mind that this could also be related to experimental graphics drivers and dri. sounds similar to #464526
