Debian advises users to not submit bugs upstream (https://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting), as this version of the KDE software is out of support from KDE, and so it's possible that the bug exists only in Debian at this point. Could you report the bug to Debian using the report bug utility (https://packages.debian.org/stable/utils/reportbug)? If necessary, the maintainer of the package will forward the bug upstream. Thanks for understanding! Created attachment 171614 [details]

plasmashell (5.27.5) using Qt 5.15.8
I deleted some widgets in my navigationbar. After that the entire plasma enviroment stopped working.

If they were 3rd party widgets, its possible perhaps that they were made for Plasma 6 and not 5, and you somehow downloaded those instead. Or the widgets were just broken. Anyhow, I am glad you found the problem! Sorry I can't really help further since Plasma 5 is not really supported anymore. (I don't even have Plasma 5 system anywhere!) According to the bug, this is releated to login, but I experienced this while editing panels. I can reproduce this. Detach widgets from one panel and try to attach it to another. If you do this, the widget becomes "hardcoded" in the new panel. If you try to drag it out of the new panel, plasma crashes.

It might be the same bug as the one I observed, but it didn't happen to me when logging in. It happened when I deleted a widget, and then closed the popup that said "you deleted a widget." |
