SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  run the spectacle with capture screen 
2.  copy to clipboard
3. paste in web application or electron, like whatsapp for linux

OBSERVED RESULT
no image is pasted 

EXPECTED RESULT
there is image is pasted,

Linux/KDE Plasma: manjaro 24,
KDE Plasma Version:  6.0.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.4
Qt Version: 6.7.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
using gwenview copy mechanism can paste the image

May be a duplicate of Bug 485096 , advising checking out the workarounds mentioned there.

Does the copy/paste work after closing spectacle like in bug 485096?

after updating to  
Plasma 6.0.5
QT 6.7.1-4
KDE framework 6.2.0

I am using X11 btw 

No luck.
try to kill the spectacle
try different type of saved format 
strangely the issue happened on rectangular region and copy 
when using full screen capture, directly copy via menu notification it is worked 
after annotate and click copy button it is not working
