SUMMARY
crashes every time I try this

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. put a sequence on the timeline
2.  ungroup its audio from the video
3.  right click the audio of the sequence and choose "disable clip"

Also trying to recover the autosave always fails here. And on that note I feel like there should be an option for how often to autosave

Thanks for your report. Both issues (crash and autosave) are already fixed in the upcoming 24.05.0 version.
