This bug is still present in 6.1 and basically makes the grid unusable, since you only see windows of one workspace. Probably this would just need a trigger to show all windows, as the present windows effect does, which is not triggered if you don't check the "organize windows in the grid view" option. I can confirm this bug still exists in Fedora 42 (Plasma 6.4.4). As soon as the option "organize windows in the grid view" is disabled, only windows of the currently selected desktop are visible. As a consequence, when a window is moved to another desktop, it just disappears. As soon as the other desktop is selected, the previously moved windows re-appear while the windows on the previous desktop disappear. I think that the non-grid-view overview is important. I tend to arrange windows fitting to my workflow on different desktops and find it very useful to maintain this structure when zooming out into overview. I perceive the grid-overview as rather confusing, making me lose orientation each time I zoom out. |
